AI applied Experience Designer
Redesign user experiences from the ground up with AI agents as the foundation. From UX/UI to dialogue and behavior between users and agents — shape it through prototypes and see it through to production.
What you'll do
- Redesign User ExperiencesRethink workflows and user experiences from the ground up for a world where AI agents are the default
- Design Dialogue ExperiencesShape the dialogue, behavior, and communication flow between users and agents
- Prove It with PrototypesRapidly turn ideas into tangible experiences and show value right in front of clients
- Bridge Brand and AIFuse client brand identity and culture with AI-powered experiences
- End-to-End DesignOwn experience consistency across the full product workflow
- See It Through to ProductionCollaborate daily with engineers, never separating design from implementation, all the way to launch
What we're looking for
Required Experience & Skills
Problem Framing
The ability to transform a client request like “improve the UI” into an experience-level question: “At which step of which operation are users dropping off or becoming confused, and why?” Digging beneath surface-level design requests to uncover user behavior structures, defining which experience problems to solve first, and drawing out the essential frustrations and needs that users themselves have not yet articulated through observation and research
Problem Solving
Forming hypotheses from abstract user needs and business requirements, rapidly validating with rough prototypes, and shaping experiences while adjusting direction. Not waiting for a “finished design” but “conveying intent with minimal expression and learning from feedback.” Balancing technical constraints, business requirements, and experience quality with decisive action
Communication
Discussing implementation constraints and technical possibilities with engineers, aligning experience direction with clients, and conveying design intent and its rationale to stakeholders — switching abstraction levels and expression depending on the audience. Providing constructive feedback in design reviews and raising the experience quality of the entire team
Design Fundamentals
Typography, color theory, grid systems, and layout composition. Intentionally designing visual hierarchy to guide user attention and behavior. Expressing information priority visually without compromising brand identity
Design Tools
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma (Auto Layout, Variables, Dev Mode), Framer, and Storybook. Involvement in building and maintaining design systems, leveraging tools as a shared language with engineers
UX Design
Practicing the full process from user research (interviews, surveys, observation) through insight extraction to personas, information architecture, and wireframes. Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing usability tests and A/B tests. Designing new customer journeys where AI agents are part of the flow
Accessibility
Understanding and practicing web accessibility standards such as WCAG. Responsive design and mobile-first design approaches. Making design decisions that deliver consistent experiences across different devices and platforms
Nice to Have
Prototyping
Creating prototypes with Figma, ProtoPie, Principle, and similar tools to communicate interaction intent to teams and clients. Experience rapidly building working demos without code using AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, v0, Replit, Webflow, and Framer
Brand & Motion
Experience developing brand guidelines and building design systems. Motion design with After Effects, Lottie, and Rive. The ability to translate brand values and tone into AI agent behavior, personality, and conversation style
ML/AI Fundamentals
Foundational understanding of how machine learning models work — training data, inference, confidence scores, and model limitations. Enables designing UX that honestly communicates AI uncertainty, sets appropriate user expectations, and creates graceful experiences when AI predictions are wrong or incomplete
AI & Conversational Design
Exploratory approaches integrating AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, and DALL-E into the design process. Conversational UI design, agent personality, tone, and conversation flow design. Designing experiences that remain coherent even when AI responses are unpredictable
Business Design
Experience contributing to business model design and go-to-market strategies. Translating business strategy into experience strategy and logically explaining how design contributes to business outcomes
Research & Analytics
Hands-on experience with research tools such as Maze, UserTesting, and Hotjar, and analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Google Analytics. Combining quantitative data with qualitative insights to uncover the “why” behind user behavior and drive design improvements
Frontend Literacy
Foundational understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. The ability to make design decisions informed by implementation costs and technical constraints when collaborating with engineers
